Hi, my name is John Colbath. I have worked with a wide range of types of sewing and serger machines, and have been servicing the local Twin Cities sewing community over the past 35 years. Many parts available; hours through Hancock Fabrics-Machines; machines may be dropped off at any twin City location EXCEPT the Bloomington location (no service there).
Thursday’s I am in West St. Paul from 9:30AM to 2:00PM. From there I do pick ups at the Woodbury, Roseville, and Northtown locations. Machines have to be in to these pick up stores by noon every Thursday, and they are returned the following Thursday by 5:00PM. On Fridays I am at the Minnetonka location from 9:30AM to 1:30AM.
More About Me
When I was diagnosed with cancer, in 2014, I knew many things in my life would change (and somethings had already begun to). In an instant, my perspective toward life was immediately altered, and I began adopting a new lens through which I was experiencing life. While many things had changed, my life long hobby, business and passion for the sewing community was just as strong as it had ever been.
Over the past 35 years I have made a number of great friends within the sewing community, but how strong these relationships had grown over this time didn’t truly hit me until my diagnosis. When my friends came to understand my situation, they proved to show just how awesome they really are, by creating something amazing for me.
I want to share with you, what so many came together to share with me. These quilts were designed and crafted by quilters across the state, in an effort to lift my spirits. To those who contributed their hard work, I thank you from the bottom of my heart – this is true art:
